When I turn my ignition off the engine fans keep running for about 20 seconds after, what does this mean?

Engine fans still running when engine is not running, temperature gauge does not show any over heating.

The temperature gauge does not need to show overheating. There is a fan switch that would turn the cooling fans on when a certain temperature is breached to activate it. It is normal if the fan operations is only intermittent and not each and everytime the engine is turned off.

Ensure the coolant level in the radiator is correct. Check when engine is cold.
