I have an automatic 2001 Hyundai Accent GL and the reverse gear went out. I was told that I need a new transmission and found a great deal on a transmission from a 2007 Hyundai Accent. Will this transmission work in my car?

Was the transmission properly diagnosed by a qualified tech, of is it someone just trying to make a $ out of you?

It was by a qualified mechanic. The tranny is on its last leg. I can use the forward gears I had it checked.

They both use transmission type A4AF2 and A4AF3 i am not sure if the ECU will drive both types so just make sure that transmission you uses the same model, then you should be ok. you can confirm this by contacting a trans specialist just to be sure.
