Honda Accord Brake pedal Problem

I had one stop light in the car not working and suddenly one day my car had locked the gear shift. so i thought the stop light switch is gone, i changed the stop light bulbs and changed the stop light switch under the brake pedal. My brake lights are now working fine, but my gear shift is still locked and i have to press the override switch every time. Is there a way to unlock it, i have checked everything. All fuses are good as well.

If you don't hear a click under the gear shift when brake pedal is depressed with ignition switch turned on and brakes lights working, the problem would be due to the shift interlock solenoid (under gearshift cover) not working and and it could be missing power supply from the brake switch or a faulty solenoid.
