I have a 2001 Honda Accord V6.
The outside dashboard lights have gone out as well as the light on shifting collum. I use to tap the shifting lights and they would come back on but now they're out. One more thing the volume control on the steering wheel is changing stations when you hit the up volume. I read there is a recall re: dash lights.
Can i fix this myself? Thanks Eman.

There is a recall on the instrument panel lights which is due to a fault with the driver's multiplex control unit. Replacement is required.

As to the shift panel lights, it could be related to the above or it could be due to failed bulbs. You mentioned tapping the console results in them coming on and that indicates the bulb is more likely to be the cause. You need to remove the console to get at the bulbs.

The steering wheel volumn control could be due to a fault with the driver MCU so I would wait till the MCU problem is resolved before attempting to perform repairs on this.
