2001 Gmc Yukon Sometimes Try Start Vehicle Engine Acts There Power Starter

Sometimes when i try to start vehicle the engine it acts like there is no power to starter. After trying a few times and moving gear shift it will start. so i know there is power in battery. does this indicate a bad ignition switch?
