low oil pressure indicator keeps coming on even after oil change..what could be the problem

Have the pressure checked with a mechanical gauge. If it is really low, suspect worn bearings. If it is normal, suspect a defective sending unit for the gauge.

does it only come on at idle? is idle speed to specs? you could try higher viscosity grade to see if that does the trick?
