2001 GMC Jimmy Repair Question

My hood release cable inside my 2001 gmc jimmy is broke and non retrievable. how do i open the hood latch from the front?
I can only see part of the latch from the outside and dont want to scratch or brake something

sometimes you can get this with a long screwdriver sometimes not. try from undeath to unlatch it. it will have to go towards driver side of truck.
