Hello,

Ok, in order to replace the fuel pump you need to drop the gas tank. You will need a couple good sturdy jackstands, a good floor jack a piece of plywood that is at least 16" x 16", a SAE socket set, a 10" extension, and hopefully the tank is empty or less than 1/2 a tank.

You will need to jack the vehicle up high enough that when you start to drop tank you have room to move it out from under the vehicle. You will need to open the fuel fill and remove the bolts hold it in. Then using the floor jack with the plywood on it jack it up to the tank in the center just high enough that it will hold the tank once straps are removed. Then remove the bolts to the straps holding the tank. You will need to lower the tank slowly and just enough to get to the line connections and the electrical connections to disconnect. Then lower tank and pull out on floor jack. Then remove bolts holding fuel pump assembly and take out. Follow directions on paperwork to install new pump.

And then just reverse proceedure to put tank and all back.
