Ford Taurus Heater Problem
My heater stop working, blows cold air.Was told it could be heater core and that could cost over a 1,000 dollars,is this true?

Get an estimate from several different shops, compare their prices. That price sounds too high to me. Different shops charge different labor rates. The labor time I looked at on this, 6 hours extreme. The factory was 3.5 hours. A heater about 75 bucks or less, depending on the brand. That doesnt include tax.
