2001 Ford Taurus Engine swap

I have a 2001 Taurus with a Non running Vulcan U engine. I also have a 2000 Taurus with a Vulcan U engine but the car was rear ended and I want to swap the motor from the 2000 to the 2001 but they look a little different. Is this possible or do I have to change other things also!

They may be the same as long as the parts will fit. You may need to use parts off of 2001 motor to make this work.

Do you know which parts I may need to change because I know the intake manifolds are different but will the newer manifold fit on the older engine

That is something you will have to check with manifolds or ask junkyard or ford dealer about it. I work on many models and not many with that particular engine.
