Diagnosing overheating for 2001 Ford Mustang

2001 ford mustang, overheats, no hot air inside, service engine light comes on gets code p1285 cylinder head temp too hot, but doesn't smoke nor run rough to be head gasket, i've replaced themostat, water pump and flushed radiator, what else could be wrong?

Do you need to add coolant?
If so do not over look headgasket
have it checked

The coolant is fine, it does not have all the signs of a head gasket. It doe not smoke nor run rough etc
