I RECENTLY EXPERIENCED A SERIES OF SMALL ISSUES ON MY VEHICLE

2001 Ford F-150 • 214,000 miles

One day last week, I got in my truck to drive it home and was unable to shift it into drive. I removed the ignition switch battery feed fuse and was able to shift gears, but the A/C quit blowing cold air. If I put the fuse back, the A/C works, but it won't shift. At this time, the fuse is in and I am putting it in neutral and engaging the parking brake. Also at that time, the power windows, windshield wipers and dome lights quit working. Any suggestions on what it may be?

The interlock controls shifting in gear.

What you are doing does not make any sense. Removing power does not dis engage the interlock. How did you discover this?
