Ford F-150 Sensor Problem

My 2001 F150 4.2L is idling back and forth from low to high in park, and when I put it in drive the idle drops and it turns off. The computer says there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow sensor, do you think this will take care of the problem?

clean the throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner. then check all grommets on engine for cracked or broken this will give you a maf sensor code if theyare. a scanner is the only way to remove code.
