Van starts holds idle for about 5min than dies off and if i feed fuel it just dies off faster, what can be the problem ?
The vans fuel pump packed up and the van was standing for about 5years ,about a month back i put in a after market fuel pump for the van and changed the spark plugs ... your respones will be highly appreciated

check the pressure first. the tank may be full of crap that is causing the pump to fail.

i cleaned up the tank before putting the new pump in ,could it be the fuel filter? that needs to be changed?

could be but doubt it as it has a bypass when it is clogged.
