2001 Dodge Intrepid Repair Question

Dodge Intrepid Hood Problem
Driving on hwy on cruis control then suddenly hear loud noise under hood got off exit car stalled as pushing it in the gas station saw a Little smoke open hood saw a little water coming from radatior top hose car was hot as it was cooling down it would start but loud noise was still there

have a pro give you a better opinion than us we can't hear it. may be internal engine damge though
