Dodge Dakota Bushing Problem

I have a popping sound when when I stop in front driver side of my 2001 Quad cab V8 dodge Dakota 2 wheel drive truck what is the problem with it

Suspension noise you will need control arm bushings at the control arm have both side inspected

have your whole fornt end checked it can be bushings, ball joints etc.

if by "popping sound", you mean sputtering or backfiring, it could be timing chain and gearing or distributor with cap and rotor. i had this happen with my 92 Dakota.
