how do u get electrisity on a cam sensor for a 2001 dodge caravan

It's supplied with 5.0 volts from the Engine Computer. If that line becomes grounded or shorted, the computer shuts it down to protect the power supply. Once the short is gone you must cycle the ignition switch off and back on to reset the supply. That same supply feeds the crankshaft position sensor.
