2001 Citroen Picasso Repair Question

Noise from under the front right hand side
I have a citreon picasso that was making a loud vibrating sound from the front right handside from underneath , now it makes a loud grating sound when turning the wheel

Inspect the CV Joints and the boots

if this is true is the car safe to drive to a garage for them to inspect as iam not mechanically minded
