2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser Cruiser won't start

Everything electrical works fine but when I push the clutch in and turn the ignition it wont start or even try too. I tried hitting the starter but it won't start. The only way its starting is if I have someone push it while I pop the clutch. I found out that there is a button that the clutch pushes that turns it on as well. I just don't know whats not allowing it to start.
