Parking Brake stuck to floor 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500
My 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 parking brake is all the way to the floor and is stuck in that position. It is manual transmission and it happened when the brake was being engaged. What could be the problem?

Broken return spring. Broken brake pedal release mechanism.

check the parking brake assy. for proper oper.and no broken parts.check the cable at the parking brake assy.see if it is hooked up.also check the cable to the rear brakes and see if its lose from the shoes.does it drive?
