Truck won't start, doesn't know it's in park
I was driving my truck and noticed that the green box that typically highlights the current gear disappeared. Its an automatic transmission, but no matter what gear I shift to it won't highlight the gear. I turned off the truck thinking
Nothing of it, but when I went to restart it, nothing happened. My guess is that it doesn't know I'm in park and therefore won't engage the starter. Battery is brand new and all lights come on. No ignition fuses are burnt, but I'm not sure how to test the relays. Unfortunately I'm 150 miles from my home town at the deer camp and don't have many options. What should I be checking and what can I do to limp home and properly address the problem?

Do you have any codes in the computer?Have you checked all the fuses inside the truck and in the engine compartment?
