When I'm driving down the road and I go pass 50 miles/hour the battery light comes on and the car shuts off I put in park and start it backup. Also it is making a high whistling sound.

It's highly unlikely. The most likely cause is a bad alternator. If the alternator goes bad it will stop maintaining the charge on the battery and the battery will eventually lose all of it's voltage. Then the electrical system can't run because the battery and alternator are not working.
I would have the alternator and battery tested.
