2001 Chevrolet Cavalier Radiator Fan Won T Come On Will Work Jumperd Out Sensor

My radiator fan won't come on it will work jumperd out the sensor will ome out corectly and the fuses are good. I have 5volts coming from the (ECT) wire to the sensor is that normal if so what can I try next

Any overheating issues besides the temp gage? I don't know your engine litre size? I'd have to double check the specs, usually the radiator fan won't come on till about 220 degrees F. Usually, if you unplug the coolant temp sensor, the fan will run. If you turn on the ac, the fan should run.
