Chevrolet Astro Spark Problem

What could be the problem with my astro van---it cranks good but won't start, dosen't even hint at trying to start. i'm suspecting the fuel pump. But it wouldn't start even with spraying starting fluid in the intake of the carb.

have you checked to see if you are getting spark? You're right. If it doesn't start with starting fluid, it's not the fuel pump. My guess is you don't have spark. Maybe a crank sensor.
