I went this car lot and came across this 2001 caddy dhs for 1500 very clean 170thousand miles. One thing, it has check engine light on. The dealer says its because they just replaced the camshaft sensor and it will take about 300 miles or less for the enging light to go off. Is this true after installing the sensor? Thankyou

When changing a part like that, they should have cleared the light. That sounds like a pretty poor explaination. Instead of we will get the light turned off they say oh yeah it will turn off by itself. I would steer clear of that place. Who knows what other band aid repairs they have done
