I took my car into the mechanics about 2 weeks ago they replaced my motor mounts and 2 transmission mounts. I originally took it in because I ran over a stump that ran along the bottom of the car, the stump ran down the center of the car when I realized that I had hit something I stopped the car completely and had my boyfriend look under now when I asked where the car got completely stuck he pointed to the oil pan area I jacked it up there weren't any holes in the pan. Where I had parked the car that night all of my oil leaked out. I got in the car the next morning and drove it when I got onto pavement the car didn't want to acclerate like normal it was having trouble like the rpms would go up but the car was slow at getting to speed. I didn't do much driving that day but when I got back to where I had hit the stump I got out and looked around to see if maybe I lost something, I parked the car about 120 feet away from where it happeNed that night when I was walking around is when I saw all the oil so I went to check my oil of course it was bone dry. I put some oil in it and it seemed to be normal again I did a small test drive, when I actually went out driving and got to pavement it was not accleraccelerating like it should again. So this is why I took it into the shop. When I got it back the acceleration was fine but now it rattles when in park or anytime the car is sitting still it sounds as if it's coming from under the center console. And now 2 weeks later of course it's still rattling but the acceleration is not right again. I do have a rear main oil leak but the mechanics said it wasn't bad at all and my car does hold oil for a good while it's been 2 weeks since oil was put in and it's still about halfway full. I took it back Into the mechanics today to have them check it and he told me the bushings on the lower control needed to be replaced he said he felt that when hitting the brake he said the front end shifted but the horrible rattling I'm hearing sounded from under the center console which I think is where the tranny and motor meet. I also took it in March to get inspected before a road trip and it does need the left front inner tie rod and boot shocks and struts the valve cover gasket is seeping and they have left front pad circled and left back pad/shoe

Amazing. The oil, (or automatic transmission fluid) magically leaked out when there's no hole. You found a puddle under the car, so you tried to force the engine to run with no oil, or, ... As it sounds just as likely, the transmission was slipping due to loss of fluid. Either way you can expect to have done major damage to the engine or the transmission. Simply replacing the lost fluid isn't going to fix the damage you've already done. Rising engine speed with a failure of the car to pick up speed indicates the transmission is slipping. That overheats the internal clutch plates very quickly and is probably what is causing the problem the acceleration problem now.

You say there's an oil leak, but you're satisfied that only half the oil leaks out in two weeks? I don't know of anyone who would accept that, and surely no one would still be trying to force the car to move.

And this all started because they built a road around a tree stump? Do I have the facts correct? If so, do you have a question?
