Everything worked out fine. We got the car running today. No knocking and is idling perfect. It actually feels like its running better now! Thank you for everything.

We replaced them. The car is fine. Oh and when we went to start it we actually did nothing to the the engine because we disconnected a harness to the fuse box, so that saved us from messing up the pistons or valves.

Glad to hear hear you didnt do any damage to the valves. If the timing chain was off enough teeth and you rotated the engine if it started or not you can still bend valves. You must have only been off a couple of teeth.

Apparently and thank god. I literally just bought this car 6 months ago. Wasn't ready for a new one again. Only thing left is a break job. And the service engine light has been on since we bought it, any ideas why?

Take it to a auto parts store and have them scan the computer for codes write down the numbers. Let me know the exact code numbers in the computer not code descriptions and I can help you out with that.
