2000 Pontiac Grand Start Car Seems Chug Lot Wants Turn Off Recovers Spits Out

When I start my car, it seems to chug a lot as if it wants to turn off. Then it recovers, but spits out a lot of smoke from the rear pipes and that smoke smells very bad.
