2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Repair Question

Not for sure whats going on
I have a 2000 grand prix gt and one day i stop at a stop sign and when i push the gas it jurk and made a loud noise and would not go i was told that its not the transmission but its some to do with the cv joint boot just tell me what you thank please

You probably need a new CV Axel, if the boot was torn then the grease will leak out of it and cause the joint to rust and break. You can get a new cv axel at your local autoparts store, it shouldnt cost any more then $80-$100 and should be a pretty easy fix.
