heater core line at engine side leaking

3.1 engine... where the rubber hose ends and connects to metal tube which then goes into engine more or less right behind the therm housing (or the engine part of what the therm housing connects to) is leaking. im just not sure if that metal tube can be pulled out. seems to be held on with a gasket of some sort. must come off because its leaking around the seam or where it connects.it looks like its just pushed in. i cant seem to find info on what those metal tubes or their (gaskets?) are called so im worried about taking it off. please help.i attached photo with arrow pointing to hose at the 3 oclock position of thermostat. thank you

If its not bad of a leak dry it up and use JB Weld till you can find one

Can you send a larger pic? ALso, is it a steel tube and is it attached in any way that you can see. Many of these have a rubber O-ring on the end, push into the housing, and then are bolted so they don't move.

It is really hard to see the pic because of its size.

Looks like the heater bypass pipe from the water pump. If the pipe is in good shape, the O-ring can be replaced. Many parts stores have a box of O-rings you can compare the old one to.
