takes a long time turning over before it starts

2000 grand am gt 3.4L takes a long time turning over before it starts then have to give it gas or it dies. then the rpm's drop down to approx. half rpm then back up to 1 rpm.it does that about 10 times then idles fine. then when accelerating it sometimes lunge's (vrm,vrm,vrm. ect.)

i had a buddy hook it up to a code reader, or a diagnostic reader or whatever it is. no check engine light either

Thats not what i was getting at i was asking if it shows.live engine data to see what the coolant temp sensor is reading when its cold etc?
