While driving my xterra the gauges will quit working(speed hand, rpm hand, and temperature hand) and after a while three lights come on(a/t oil temp, brake light, and the battery light) they stay on for 10 to 15 mins and go off but my guages and mileage gauge quits and wont come back on for a long period of time, how can I fix this so it don't happen again

This could be caused by a few things. Have you had the body control module tested?

The easiest thing for a DIYer to try would be to access the electrical connectors on the rear of the cluster and do a wiggle test to see if that changes anything and a good visual inspection for loose or pulled out pins on the connector.

I have checked all the wiring under the Hood and changed most of the fuses, everything looks and feels ok. I bought it from a small dealership about a week ago
