2000 Nissan Maxima Car Noise

When I start up my car I can hear a rattle/scrapping noise that is on and off while the car is in park. I can also hear the same noise when I am accelerating from a low speed. The noise is coming from under the car and I cannot tell if it is a loose heat shield or may be something with the catalytic converter.

Check to s see if anything like thte heat shield is loose, they do break near the rivets and will cause that. Spray water on fan belt if noise goes away replace belt and tensioner.
