Will a 88 Nissan Truck motor work in a 2000 Frontier?

I have a 2000 frontier with a bad motor will a motor out of an 88 or 86 nissan truck work their both a v6

The Frontier has a 3.3l and the P/U has the 3.0-won't hurt to try

I done it before with a pathinder n it worked but the 88 is carburated n my frontier isnt

You gonna have to convert the frontier into a carburated fuel system- alot of wiring and components change over involved here-I hope you know what I mean-
