2000 Mitsubishi Galant Repair Question

My car is consuming too much fuel compared to the normal mpg value of 21-23..what could be the cause(s),and what should l do to correct this problem...also the steering wheel vibrates when l step on the brake and the car is on a high speed

My gas mileage is presently around 14 mpg...and for the brake problem,l have changed the front tire brake pads without the problem stopping

Could be tires/wheel alignment/suspension/transmission problems-also needing a major tune-up

For the brake vibrating during braking, you need to get the rotors turned or replaced.
