2000 Holden Barina Repair Question

Hi there,I recently changed, spark plugs and spark plugs leads, for Barina 2000 SB Olympic editon. And the engine is running a bit faster than before, is that a common think?. Thanks

Could be the wrong sparkplugs or not gapped to specs-make sure the wire is snugged to the plugs not loose
