2000 GMC Safari Repair Question

GMC Safari Axle Problem
I am getting a knocking sound when I drive, most pronounced when I slow down, foot off the gas. My guess was the cv. The boots look ok...and the it sounds and feels like it is under my feet. This vehicle is AWD.

have the axles and drivehsafts check for worn joints. or if yo useeoil coming off the boots in fron t the axle needs replacing
