GMC Jimmy Engine Problem
4X4 - Engine surges - RPM gage jumps around starting at about 55 mph No codes or check engine lights. What should I check first - I have been told to change transmission fluid and the cylinode . Need your help

how does the motor run???
forget about the trans, lets see what the actual issue is

Surges at 55 mph - engine runs ok - no codes - no check engine light started after sitting for about a month

i would think an issue with the tach itself if the motor is running ok.
check connections at the coil and the back of the cluster

2000 GMC Jimmy starts and runs OK, except when you might say it surges and lacks power a little.. The tack jumps around when this happens.
