huge puddle of tranny fluid in the driveway

I just purchased a 2000 ford ranger with a 5 speed automatic tranny and 4 wheel drive. When I tried to put it in 4 low I didn't get the indicator light to come on and now I have a huge puddle of fluid in the driveway. It only has 39000 miles on it.

Please help :-)
