2000 Ford Mustang Repair Question

I might buy a new mustang year 2000 with 82,000 miles and a new trans automatic was put in. the problem is that the shifter is sticky and doesnt click real well. Is this a major issue? or is it a simple fix... im worried its a rip off because i may pay 50

it may be in the valve body for the detent. you should have a trans shop check it for you.
