Why is my stereo not producing any music but when the fuse is in, it runs down my battery?

The fuse for my stereo is running my battery down. I've replaced it, but it is still doing the same thing. Stereo doesn't produce any music, just has a slight rumbling and high pitched noise. I'm wondering if it's a short in the wires or something. Don't know what the problem is.

It sounds like the stereo is defective and should be replaced.
There is a memory wire that gets constant 12 volts and it may be shorting out inside the unit causing the battery to drain.

It sounds like the amp in the stereo has shorted.
