I have a 2000 ford explorer limited all wheel drive, an I recently needed a boost so when I turned the jeep back on the parking lamp was on but the switch was off. I replaced the battery and the head lamp control ( the interior switch.) Also the lights won't turn off until I take the key out

Does it have remote start or aftermarket security? Sounds like the parking circuit is shorted.
