2000 Ford Explorer Repair Question
Ford Explorer Bushing Problem
Since the mid '70s Fords have had way more steering and suspension part failures that lead to crashes so squeaks are nothing to ignore. Have it inspected at a tire and alignment shop. They will look at the ball joints and outer tie rod ends first as those cause the most fatalities and are the most common parts to fail. Other things that can make noise include control arm bushings and anti-sway bar links and bushings. Those are not serious but they can be irritating. The inner tie rod ends are part of the rack and pinion assembly but rarely make noise. They don't wear out as often as other parts.
