i have a little ticking noise coming from my motor is speeds up when i give it gas. the car has not lost power. seems the ticking gets better sometimes but goes back to the same thing. sometimes it doesnt tick at all. and seems that it didnt start ticking till after i changed the spark plugs and wires and a fuel injector. i changed the oil also. when i did the spark plugs i had to replace the platum gasket due to i had to take that off to get to 3 of the spark plugs. i removed that gasket about 3 to 4 times. am i looking at something serious or will it just been something easy and wont effect my car? and it does have 170k miles on it

Do you hear this ticking from inside the car? You might be hearing the clicking of the injectors which many people aren't used to hearing.

Sometimes when you drain the oil air gets in the intake passage to the pump, and that air can allow some of the hydraulic lash adjusters to bleed down. If only one or two do that you can ignore it as they may just take a little longer than normal to pump up again. Those adjusters can also wear a pinhole in the base that lets the oil leak out when the engine is off. That will make them click but it won't be related to changing the oil.
