Please hurry with answer my car is going in shop an I don't wanna be screwed out of money I'd like to know I ran a test on the engine light cam sensor came up would that do this to my car mechanic said that needs fixed first then run a test again

Yes, the sensor could cause the problem. If the light is flashing, that means there is a misfire. If the sensor doesn't fix the problem, you will need to check it for a tune up.
