I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer that had its Check Engine Light turn on about a week ago. I have been trouble shooting the poor acceleration and overall sluggish performance to changing the Spark Plugs, Spark Plug Wires, Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Distributor Cap, and Distributor Rotor. Now, the car is running MUCH better but the Check Engine Light is still on and will flash immediately after 25 MPH, and continually if I stay over 25 MPH.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.

I do not have access to a hand held computer (such as the one in the article). And, all of the auto shops around me charge more money than I currently have.

The nearest one is 75 miles. (When the roads aren't closed because of snow; which they are)

With the light flashing (I've been reading it's because of a missfire), I don't think its a good idea to drive it that far.

Anyways, thanks for the help. I'll figure something out in order to figure out what code it's sending.
