Hi. I was wondering why when I try to start my car the battery is acting like its dead but then when I hit the gas as I start it it starts to run?

Have the battery and charging system tested. If you have a digital multimeter, we can help you check it. Clean all battery connections. The gas shouldn't have anything to do with the starter motor cranking.

It's weird bc I try and start it, it will not start until I accelerate on the gas. And then when started it will say my lift gate is ajar. My radiator was just replaced and I am wondering if anything we had to disconnect to replace the radiator would have something to do with this problem. The air intake was taken during the replacement of the radiator.

Your saying it cranks good but won't start? Could be idle air issue? Clean the throttle-body and idle air control.
