i can put gas in breather hose and it will start and run untill it is turned off

Either the fuel pump relay is bad or the fuel pump is bad.

Sorry I misread slightly. You should start by having the trouble codes pulled. Any Advance Auto or Auto Zone will do this for free.
There still sounds like there is an issue with the fuel pressure, so if nothing comes up in checking the trouble codes, both stores loan out tools to test the fuel pressure. I would suggest that next.
