2000 Chevrolet 180SX Repair Question

Chevrolet 180SX Alternator Problem

Ok I have a Chevy Malibu that is having massive problems the instrument panel zeros out lights on it go off and the car dies all at one time even while driving and it takes turning the key on and off a few times to get everything to kick back in what could be causing this problem I believe they are all connected please help me narrow it down be for I have to spend more time and money on things it's not

dont replace anything till you know the failure. start with the battery and alternator check to make sure there is voltage to the cluster.

have the system scanned for codes with the instrument cluster. get to us with the codes

check fuel pressure to start with the stalling

I took it to a mechanic and found out it was the ignition switch
