I have a 2000 Cadillac Seville SLS. I changed the alternator an every since then when i turn the key to the first on position I can hear the fuel pump running constantly.. and when i turn it to the next position before startup the car message board says service electrical system will taking the battery cable loose fix this problem.. and i also heard it could be my crankshaft sensor. Help

but i cant get the engine to turn over

you need to check for start signal at the ingnition switch on the steering column.thats where you start.

ok but. when i turn the key on it says service theft system. from experience i kno some cars will disable power to the starter if it reads attempted theft. does this comply on this vehicle if so how can i disable the theft system to get the car started

this is a key cylinger fault.

you need to get the ohm reading from the key chip and buy a resister of same value from radio shack.find the orange harness at the base of the steering column.with 2 white wires in it.put the reister across the 2 white wires.it will start then the key cylinder is bad.
